Hello Everyone ! My whole life I have wanted to know more about our family ! But no one seem to know anything. I was told my Grandparents family came from Reggio Calabria at first, but when I asked about what family was left there in Italy no one knew a thing. As I got older and the internet became available, yes kids it has not been that long, since we did not even have the internet , I began to do searches on our name and when I first started not a single hit came up when I typed in Benintende, but soon that began to change and at first there were a couple and if you do a search now a days it is pages and pages. I make it a point to contact whatever Benintende I see on the internet, that I have not seen or heard of before, every single one, no matter, what country or how far away, because even without the facts to support it, I believe we must all be related, there just cannot be two entirely DNA structured families with that particular name. SO I begin to find many in the United Staes which was a real shock, because my whole life I believed and told people we were the only Benintende's in the United States and guess what my parents, Aunts and Uncles all believed the same thing and then I started finding Benintende's everywhere, New York, California, Florida, Colorade and more. Then the Italian Benintende's starting appearing and now, we have all taken a huge step in coming together as a family, as the Benintende's ! ! ! If any of you have other data of your parents, grandparents and beyond please let me know, it would be my honor to post on this site, I love each and every one of you, as I have spoken (emailed) each one of you, it only deepens my belief, we are all as one, we just have not come across the magic link, the first Benintede's, I have founf references as early as 1501, yet our heritages seem to be a mystery, how is that ? Got me. Please know that this is a complete joy to host this page and reach out and search for more and more Benintende's. Of course any help would be greatly appreciated as my wife thinks sometimes I am nuts, all her family is known to her, I tell her she would not understand it's a Benintende thing !
